Multifarious, lively and international

These are just three of the countless qualities, Berlin Kreuzberg has to offer.

Its unique atmosphere regularly attracts a great number of visitors. The popular and creative district Kreuzberg is located directly beside the Spree in the city center of Berlin.

It is characterized by its two main neighborhoods with a great diversity of residents. Kreuzberg furthermore provides an outstanding offer of recreational and cultural activities for you to discover during your stay.

You may also enjoy an extensive shopping spree in Kreuzberg. Around the famous Boxhagener Platz, there are plenty of unique young designer’s boutiques settled, apart from the well known fashion stores.

A culinaric adventure can be found in one of the many national and international restaurants all over Friedrichshain. Wether you want to try German home cooking, Spanish tapas or specialities from all over the world - there is something for all tastes.

The glittering nightlife of Friedrichshain will make for a nice daily closing. Various bars and clubs offer a great variety of drinks and snacks.

There is definitely something to see for everyone in Berlin Kreuzberg.

Berlin Kreuzberg as a centrally situated district has a number of sights for visitors to see. From our numerous furnished apartments you can get to all landmarks in Kreuzberg in a few minutes. Not only is the Johann Georg Elser memorial something for those interested in history. With the sculpture in form of a silhouette those who resisted fascism are honoured. The 17 metre high steel figure was erected here in 2011 where once the former Führer bunker stood and at night is irradiated from both sides. On the pathway around the memorial mark you are also able to read quotes from Elsers as light strips. Another recommendation is to take a stroll along the Landwehrkanal with its historical Admiralbrücke. This place daily attracts a number of people who just gather here with some playing guitar or just enjoying a relaxing conversation. Many say this is the best place in the city to enjoy the sunset. On Kreuzberg, the highest natural point in the inner city of Berlin, you can see the national memorial for liberation wars. Twelve cast-iron genii on a nearly 19 metre high memorial commemorate the fallen soldiers of the liberation wars. With its unique architecture and great detail of the genii the national memorial is worth a visit.

Kreuzberg particularly impresses with its diverse cultural program for all ages. Across more than 26,000 square metres the German Museum of Technology offers an extensive insight into the old and new technology as well as interactive elements. Daily presentations and regular changing exhibitions enthral visitors. Directly next door is the Science Center Spectrum. More than 150 experimental station make it possible to see science and technology from a completely different angle. Visitors are also taken on a journey in the Jewish Museum Berlin: one passes through 2,000 years of German-Jewish history. Across more than 3,000 square meters the museum displays 13 era pictures of German-Jewish life. Everyday items, original photos and letters provide a unique insight.
Before returning to your apartment it is recommended to visit the historical Sputnik Kino. In Berlin’s highest cinema, on the fifth floor of a business complex dating back to the 19th century you can enjoy a splendid view from the bar. But that is not the only special feature of the Sputnik Kino. The charm of Kreuzberg is particularly reflected in the cinema auditorium with a feel of a living room.

For all those who are looking for something more individual or eccentric will find Kreuzberg to be a real shopping paradise. In the Oranienstraße shopping enthusiasts there is an array of individual boutiques and fashion shops. From more trendy young designers to street wear all the way to unique boutiques there is something for everyone. In the market hall “Neun” visitors can experience a very unique shopping experience. Here a weekly market is held three times a week. Fruit, vegetables and other food from the region and across the globe is sold at an array of stalls over a total area of 3,000 metres. On Thursday an additional Street Food Day is organised where you can indulge in a number of culinary delights from across the globe.

During your stay in one of our furnished apartments you are able to find relaxation in Berlin Kreuzberg. 12 hectare large green space stretches through the Viktoriapark on Kreuzberg. One highlight is the artificial water cascade with the national memorial for liberation wars visible in the background. At the foot of the cascade there is an uneven pond where you can dwell.
Volkspark Hasenheide is east of Viktoriaparks. Next to enjoying a relaxed picnic on the grass there are a range of recreational activities on offer like miniature golf, playgrounds, animal enclosures and an open-air cinema just to name a few.

Of course culinary offers in Kreuzberg are great. A feature of this district is large number of independent restaurants that realize their very individual interpretation of perfect cuisine. Regional dishes, international cuisine and even exotic specialities can be enjoyed in a range of restaurants with unique ambience. The Austrian country cuisine is combined with modern elements in the restaurant Horvàth. Classic with wood panels but at the same time very plain you will experience a cosy ambience and newly created, classic dishes.  The restaurant Tim Raue is also very modest in its appearance. You are able to choose from different menus which vary between regional and international dishes.
With international cuisine but also providing a stunning view across Berlin the Solar Sky-Lounge on the 17th floor has a panoramic view of the capital and serves culinary delights from across the world.

Whilst you make use of our temporary accommodation in Berlin Kreuzberg there are many recreational offers in the district that will provide for a unique experience. Particularly one can recommend visiting the Princess Gardens. Here a number of different fruit and vegetable types are grown. Everybody can help, put out seeds or buy the produce.

The Liquidrom with thermal bath provides relaxation as well as saunas and massage offers. In the heart of Berlin here you will find a place of tranquillity and can enjoy the warm salt water oasis under the darkened cupola hall. Om the evening the Tempodrom stages concerts, shows and musicals. The regular events and the unique architecture make an evening here a unique experience.
