SIGHTS
Berlin Schöneberg is home to one the city’s most famous landmarks: it is both a sight and a shopping mile for luxury goods. Across a sale area of nearly 60,000 square metres it is Europe’s biggest department store. The
KaDeWe can look back on more than 100 years history where since 1907 the trendiest fashion and particularly exotic food from around the world has been sold. It has the world’s second largest delicatessen department, also known as the “gourmet floor”. Not far away from our furnished apartments you can shop and feast as you please.
CULTURAL OFFERINGS
The cultural offer in Berlin Schöneberg very much can live up to that of other districts. The Jugendmuseum Schöneberg is a history museum which offers a unique and exciting exhibition on the Berlin’s history. Here you can explore other people’s life stories, use workshop rooms and also visit a small printing museum. In the
Odeon Kino, a cult cinema for film fans, exclusively films in English original version are shown. Very much in American style the nostalgic neon sign and American display board invite you to a cosy cinema evening.
SHOPPING
When shopping in Schöneberg nothing is left to chance. The 3.5 kilometre long shopping street
Kurfürstendamm stretches out through this district. It is one of the most famous streets in the world and is home to large department stores but also many small fashion boutiques.
Luxury shopping is very much possible in
Kaufhaus des Westens. Here visitors are able to shop across six floors in Tauentzienstraße which not far from Kurfürstendamm.
PARKS
Relax in one of the many parks and green spaces in Schöneberg which are all not far from our furnished apartments.
In the
nature park Schöneberg wild nature has spread out across long forgotten technology. In the area of the former marshalling yard in Berlin-Tempelhof today there is an 18 hectare large nature reserve.
Together with the
Volkspark Wilmersdorf the
Rudolph-Wilke-Park in Schöneberg forms the inner city green belt. In the summer a large beer garden is set up and is very popular with visitors. Around the pond there is a sunbathing area that invites to relax and unwind or also take a stroll and play a game of badminton.

Estrellas Chocolaterie. Next to enjoying an array of unusual tastes like lavender, curry, ginger or whisky you can also place an order for a taste you might prefer. The “
Planetarium am Insulaner” is a unique combination of planetarium and public observatory in Europe.

Not far from our furnished apartments in Berlin Schöneberg there is also a large weekly market at Winterfeldtplatz every Wednesday and Saturday. Here visitors are able to choose from a wide selection of organic fruit and vegetables as well as sausages and cheese as well as an array of local cuisine. Numerous snack stalls offer a great choice of tasty delights from across the globe.
