Before a listing appears on FARAWAYHOME, we have seen the apartment and know the provider behind it. No scraped inventory, no anonymous accounts — a network we deliberately keep curated. Serviced operators clear a 4-star quality bar before onboarding.

Verification runs in two stages. Stage 1, before any inquiry: account via SSO or email OTP, identity via ID document or a verified corporate email — around 1 in 5 inquiries is filtered out here. Stage 2, after a provider accepts: proof of income and a structured affordability check, before anything is signed.

The first rent and the security deposit go directly from tenant to provider, due in full before move-in. FARAWAYHOME never holds funds, never sits in the payment chain, and is never a contracting party to the lease.

Leases are concluded directly between tenant and provider, on legally reviewed templates in German and English. For private landlords we prepare the lease ready for signature; professional providers may use their own vetted templates. Every cost appears in the contract — nothing surfaces at handover.

Tenants pay us nothing — no fee to inquire, to book, or at any point. Providers pay a success-based commission only — once per lease, capped at twelve months per tenant, with no listing or base fees. That is our entire business model.

Documents and messages are stored GDPR-compliant on EU infrastructure, with GoBD-compliant documentation for providers. We never sell personal data. Luca, our AI concierge, reads your request only to set up your search — and a human team member is always one click away and reads every escalation.
