SIGHTS AND LANDMARKS
With the Victory Column
one the most important landmarks of the capital is in Berlin Tiergarten. The 67 Meter high “Goldelse” as many locals refer to it is today listed. To get up to the observation platform you have to climb 285 steps and are rewarded with a lovely view across Berlin.
The German Bundestag is also located in Tiergarten. The Reichstag
is regarded as one of the most popular sights in Berlin which also down to the unique architecture. After reunification the building was extensively renovated and a new glass dome was fitted. It is recommended to go on a guided tour of this impressive building.
The old centre of the city, Potsdamer Platz

The New National Gallery
houses works of European painting and plastics from the 20th century. Picasso, Dalí, Miró and Laurens are exhibited here. This is the Fritz--Schloß-¬Parkwith a smaller size of only 12 hectares but nearly as beautiful as the Tiergarten Park.
